Flatfish Cup 08 May, 2015 from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM Weymouth,
Our first attempt to fish the Flatfish Cup Competition this year and wrench it back from the steely grip of the Newick Hookers. This is a ten hour trip with Flatfish guru Colin Penny. Let's make sure it's 10 hours of torture for those Hookers.
Pollack and cod on the drift 13 Apr, 2015 from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM Newhaven,
The pollack will still be around and will have been joined by hordes of vast, fat cod. Get 'em while they're hot!
Pollack on shads 09 Mar, 2015 from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM Newhaven,
The pollack are in and waiting for you to catch them. Come and beat Steve's massive new record. Please.
Drifting for pollack 09 Feb, 2015 from 07:45 AM to 04:45 PM Newhaven,
Our first outing of the year drifting with shads and redgills for pollack
First pollack trip of the year 09 Feb, 2015 from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM Newhaven,
With any luck the fat winter pollack will have arrived on the offshore wrecks. Come and find out...
Inshore cod and whiting 30 Jan, 2015 from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM Newhaven,
The whiting are biting and the cod are bold. Or is it the wind is biting and the sleet is cold? Either way, join us on the first trip of the year.
Inshore cod 08 Dec, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
There'll be cod aplenty off Seaford Head, and there's definitely a twenty out there with our name on it. The thirty's mine though.
Wrasse, wrasse, wrasse 21 Nov, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Weymouth,
Our autumn trip for huge ballans off Portland. The last three years have been spectacular. Can we beat the British record? Come and have some of it.
Inshore cod, or possibly wrecking 10 Nov, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
We're most likely to be inshore fishing for early winter cod, which have been fairly abundant in recent years, but if it's very flat we may find ourselves offshore trying for a ton-up eel.
Wrecking 20 Oct, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
Probably the last wrecking trip of the year, featuring huge bream and eels. Don't miss out. Of course it might turn out to be filled with blonde rays of staggering proportions instead. Oh the hardship.
Autumn in Weymouth... 26 Sep, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Weymouth,
...means rays, bream, bass, flatfish and maybe, just maybe, porbeagles.
Wrecking or flatfish 15 Sep, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
If the conger are feeding we'll be wrecking, if they're not, we'll be bagging up on turbot, brill and plaice.
Wrecking - eels, cod and pollack 18 Aug, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
By August the eeling is at its peak, and there'll be big bream on the wrecks too. If the wrecking isn't great, then we may be fishing for flatfish instead. Either way it's going to be fantastic.
Summer Weymouth trip from 18 Jul, 2014 08:00 AM to 19 Jul, 2014 05:00 PM Weymouth,
You know the drill: two days inshore fishing for rays, bream, bass, flatfish, tope, wrasse, eels and huss. Throw in a gentle and moderate amount of beer at the Boot and some curry at the Balti House, good company and placid seas, and you've got a recipe for a great weekend.
Wrecking - eels, cod and pollack 07 Jul, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
Summer is pressing on, and we'll be hauling in some seriously big conger now, with a smattering of cod on baits for good measure.
Wrecking - eels, cod and pollack 09 Jun, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
By now we ought to be able to get some decent time at anchor and have ourselves some proper fun on a snake pit.
Wrecking - cod, cod and more cod 15 May, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
Drifting for cod and pollack out East, that's the order of the day. Come and get some.
Flatfish Cup, round 2 28 Apr, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Weymouth,
If the first date for the Flatfish Cup on March the 28th is cancelled due to the weather, then this is the stand-by date for the mis-match. Otherwise it's just a lovely day out with Colin Penny on board Flamer IV with only a few Newick Hookers spoiling things, as we test our mettle against mainly turbot and brill, with the odd plaice thrown in for good measure.
Offshore cod and pollack 07 Apr, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Newhaven,
The pollack will be a little scarcer now, but the cod will be thick on the ground, so it'll still be non-stop action on shads and redgills.
Flatfish Cup 28 Mar, 2014 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Weymouth,
Round 1 of our annual tussle with the so-called anglers of the Newick Hookers aboard Colin Penny's boat Flamer IV. We'll need five stout and skilful fishermen to defend the honour of the Really Wrecked SAC. This trip is likely to focus on plaice, but may feature turbot and brill too.
